anyone here have any experience with the optional gather's bass tubes for the crx? I occasionally see them on ebay for ridiculous amounts of money and I have often wondered if there were really worth 200 US for the pair.

Is there a noticable improvement in sound quality? My best guess is that its a sealed tuning tube that makes the bass punchier.

Don't they require a 5 1/4 as opposed to the 6 1/2 that would fit in the rear? I don't see them making that much better noise. But who knows...
