obd2 type R head on obd1 b16 block

obd2 type R head on obd1 b16 block
i have a 2000 ITR head and a 94 b16 block so my question is that are there going to be any problems with the fact that the head is OBD2 and the block is OBD1 i dont think there is a problem but my friend has made me second guess my self does anybody know if the combo will work?
