Default Brembo OEM replacement Rotors

Would buying OEM replacement Brembo Slotted Rotors for my 01 Prelude help in braking performance at all?

http://www.optauto.com/index.h...00022

I'm thinking that it might just help with the cooling but not really with the braking distance?
(Did I just answer my own question...?)

Thanks!
Daniel

you'll get a lotta conflicting answers on this one..

but as i understand it, slotting takes away surface area of braking surface BUT you do get some heat dissipation out of it.

as far as the cost vs. benefit of fitting those rotors, not quite sure what the numbers look like. i have some brembo oem blanks and they are pretty decent, i'd imagine the slotteds might cut down on brake fade.

Braking distance'll probably go up, and just MAYBE it'll help with fade.

Not really. I have powerslot rotors all the way around and my braking distance has decreased phenomenally (sp?). Also my brakes aren't as hot after hard driving.

i have crossdrilled. i got them cause my stocks cracked. if you can activate abs/lock them up then it wont change brake distance...it will help fade, trust me, if you stop hard then speed up, then brake hard, then speed up ect, u will feel BAD fade on stocks, but u can do it a lot more before they fade out....high speed braking is what owned me

edit: mine are powerstop, had them for years...just checked nopi no longer has them...i only paid 40 for each

If you are looking at the "blank" rotors-then NO. In my opinion you will gain little using OEM pads too. Then there are the options of using a truly agressive pad-we all have our preferences on this one. Rotors-all we use on the CRX on track are Brembo or an el-cheapo blank. They are very good and our basic pad selection is AEM/Nissin pads, for Time Trial events, which are the upgrade from the stock ones. I happen to like the PF pads along with several other choices for heavy duty use. I used Powerslots on the Civic that we built and was not impressed with them.
Just my 2 cents
