my roomate has talked about trickin his car out for 3 years, for three years his 1998 Acura Integra LS got Aerospeed Coils and a K&N air filter... everyone in our race team has gotten swaps and he was getting mad that making more money than anyone else we know why he hasn't done **** yet, so one day i told him "dogg you need a new motor" so that went well and in 3 days, that friday, we picked up a 1999 OBD2 GSR motor....used his LS trans with a skunk2 ecu, air filter on the throttle body, DC Header, denso iridium spark plugs, NGK 9mm wires, INVIDIA 2.5" test pipe and APEX'i World Sport ehaust, on obd1 gsr wheels, i took out a usdm gsr with IDENTICAL mods by 6 cars, then i thought maybe it's the driver and we switched cars, he got me by almost 7 cars, WOW, this thing takes out Type R's like nothing by an easy 3 to 4 cars, there is nothing special about this motor just basic bolt ons and an ECU my friend is thinking that he picked up a lucky "freak" motor, aren't all b18c (gsr) motors identical between 94 and 01 with the exception of a diff ecu and wire harness, why is this motor so strong.... goin to Maryland International Raceway tomorrow morning so i will post 1/4 mile times with a video possibly and time slips......

Are you for real? "Dogg you need a new motor". I think this is the dumbest thread I've ever seen grace the pages of HT. Your 18 years old and you have a race team? Give me a break, you've been legally driving for two years. If your on a race team and you all have your stolen swaps in your car, how about you flex some mechanical muscle and pull the head on that GSR motor to see what's up? With out pictures and details of the internals, all we can do is speculate about what it has, which gets you and me and everyone else no where.

Be reasonable. An LS with GSR motor but LS tranny beating a GSR that has shorter gears and the same mods by 6-7 car lengths regardless of driver. The idea of it cracks me up

Don't get me started. If a someone said to me "Dogg you need a new engine", I'd probably 1) ignore him or 2) laugh in his face. You will find that people who are relatively mature and can form proper sentences generaly don't have to and will never resort to talking to other people like their favorite rap star that they watch on MTV. Not only do I find it disrespectful, but talking like an idiot is completely uncalled for. But hey, if you want to be viewed as a little hommie 'turned hard core gangta at the age 18' then by all means go for it. eitherway, they showed up and sprinkled mad jdm vtec ferry dust all over your motor, but no one elses. That is why you have the mythical type-R killing geezer engine that all the street racers have heard of, but never seen. No one is really sure how the gnomes got ahold of it, but rumor has it they bought it from an asian dwarf at a rave thinking it was "e".

the point is, your friend is verry lucky, for many a street racer have coveted this beast for months. Its right up there with the "spoon" d-series ecm that lets your single cam spin to 10k.

 

i read a while back that either i dont remember exactly, but i think it said 1 out of 35 or 1 out of 30 motors that honda buils is so called A "HEALTHY" MOTOR. like they have around 5 more horses but i don't think this may be the case because of how this motor is described. BUT you never know lol

Do you know how much power you need to blow a gsr by 7 cars? LOL Freak motors are to describe engines that come with a little more horsepower (by little I mean something around 5 and not 50+ like your story makes it out to be).

i say "dogg" jokingly when i talk to my friends. sometimes when we are really stoned i like to try and see how many times i can say it in a sentence and see if anyone notices. so far only one of them has noticed but it was just us so the others arent wise to me yet.
