EG Seats into an EF?
I just got a '90 hatch and the seats are pretty ripped up. I figured I could put my stock seats from my '94 EX in there to replace the messed up ones. What do I need to do as far as swapping the rails and stuff? Which rails should I use?
I tried this Christmas Day. Attempted a seat pan swap and realized it wasn't going to happen. I noticed that the eg pan is wider and the rails were longer.
You need to weld your existing brackets to the eg seats and reuse the hatch mouting points.
Seemed that the eg seats would sit higher as well.

EG seats sits waaay to high for a ef. When you get into a accident...your head is going to hit the top of the glass or even higher, and your going to end up having your neck snapped in half. So I advised you not to do it.
eg seats have got to be the worst designed seats ever. they are not very comfortable either. i would just get some ef si seats. them bishes are comfortable

I appreciated the input and recommendations but this is what I have and what's available to me. I just want to know what I would need to do to get these to work in my car.
I had some del sol seats in one of my old Hatches. I used a thick steel plate as an extender to mount the front hole that didnt line up, and ended up drilling a seperate hole in the rear to get one of the rears to be lined up. I think I used a spacer to overcome the difference in height in the rear. It ended up being really solid, and I actually got rear-ended from behind at 35mph while I was at a stoplight, totaling the car, but my seat held fast. Youll have to do some work to get them to fit safely...but you can do it.

I would have to disagree. Ek seats are ****!!! I hate them! No support at all! At least EG seats have some support! IMO
I also put eg seats in my wifes EF years ago. I used some very thick and wide washers for the holes I had to drill for the back mounts (more surface area). They were a little high but leaps and bounds better than the ratty ef's!
