Default spring install trouble **Free Laugh**

ok today me and a few friends were installing my sprint springs, we took the stock springs off and install the new ones in 2 hours. we lower the car of the lift, and the rear is slamed but the front look stock..i know that cant be right..the stock springs were all the same size..but the sprints had 2 longs ones and 2 short ones..we put the shorts ones in the rear and longer ones up front, did we mix them up? but thats not even the funny part..my friend thought mabey the reason it was not lowerd any in the front was because the strut tower bolt (were the boot is) was not tight enogh, so he gets this bright idea to take a air gun and tightin down the bolt..can you guess what happends next?......the damn bolt broke off the top of the strut...yeh the bolt that keeps the spring compressed..so now i have my car sitting with the springs most likey on the wrong strut...and a broken strut in the front, he is gonna buy me a new strut, i just dont know how to get the strut out now with out deing, any sugestion is good.... flame, hate, or help any thing is ok right now.. thanks alot.

All other things being equal, the spring with more coils should be softer than the one with less coils. I think they are intended to have the taller ones in the back.

So have you preloaded the heck out of the front springs, and that broke the top bolt on the shock? I think that means the damper will need to be replaced.

You have the springs mixed up. And as for the broken shock just slowly jack your car up and maybe it will unload itself and just drop out.

I use to have sprint springs. they should be close to the same size the fat ones should go in the back (bigger around) hard to explain on the internet.

also jack the car up and see if there sitting right on the strut. if they are then just let them settle it could take a week for them to compress a little bit.
