2 batteries because I have to add about 300 pounds, so why not make it USEABLE weight?

The fuel pumps are for a theory I have, just trying new stuff out. You know how it is Tony, gotta try stuff.

More pics:

These are old pics. I have to take new ones. The plumbing is all done, just getting the header and the axles made, Then we can let her rip. Hope you guys enjoy

You guys love tilting the motor forward like in prodrags car. Any reason that a newbie like me might need to know?

Leaning the motor forward like that gets more weight over the front wheels and lowers the center of gravity. You need the diff at a certain height for the right axle alignment, so you can rotate the motor on that axis and keep the axles straight.

We decided to put the B motor in the car for now. The guys already have a nice B setup sitting there and we know it'll run good. We still need some time to get the K motor ready and tested. I made mounts for both motors, so once the K is ready, it'll bolt right in. No point in missing the first race because the K motor isn't ready and then spending half the year getting everything dialed in. We'll run the B until the K motor has been tested on the engine dyno and everything is satisfactory. Then drop in the K and go.

The big round polished tank is a dry sump tank.

Your car looks sick. Are you going to be at any East coast races?

Also, with the two batteries, I take it you're not running an alternator?

My roommate just picked up a 3 wagon last week, though it doesn't look anything like that. I don't think he'd be down for gutting it though.

Yes, no alternator. All-motor obviously wants the least amount of parasitic drag on the motor as possible. Also, we will be at ALL the NHRA races this year, so we will be at the E-town and the Atco races Thanks for the good words. Stop by the pit when we are on the East coast.

I'll definitely stop by the pits if I'm there. I stopped by a friends shop over the weekend where they're getting some 6 second Outlaw class (I think) cars ready for a race this upcoming weekend. It definitely got me pumped about getting my car finished so I can at least run some brackets this summer and ready to watch some of the major races.

I also saw the most ridiculous car ever. A 3500 lb Nova I believe being prepped for a class called "Heavy Street." I guess the only real limitations are you can only back-halve the car and it has to be at least 3500 lbs. They're looking to run in the 6s with a Pat Musi nitrous engine in it.
