Default H22 in 99 civic ek obd 1 or obd2?

I am getting ready to do a h22 swap into my 99 civic ex and was wondering what would be easier, getting the obd2 swap or the obd1. Also what would be more cost effective. Thanks for any help.

I'm having the same problem with my swap in my 99. I am getting a b18c but I didn't know what to get. Ended up getting obd1 because the price was right.

Good luck , I am a doing an built H23a-turbo setup with the automatic transmission from the same H23(from a 96 Prelude Si) in a 99civic ex coupe. If you could list all the parts you have chosen (i.e.) motor mounts, pistons, etc. and if you have any good recomendations on tranmission parts. Lets see some pics also. Happy Racing...

If it does not go against the emissions laws in your state, go OBD1. It is the only choice for tuning and is a much more simple setup to start with.
