Wetsanding JDM Headlights
When wetsanding the headlights what grit do i use? 1500? And i've read people talking about using a rubbing compound to polish it out. What's a rubbing compound?
it may sound like a stupid question but its important, someone please answer it! lol. I always just see people say "rubbing solution" but i've never ever seen it actually explained what it is.

i used 1000 grit then 2000 grit, when i wet sanded my 10 year old usdm teg head lights, then i used a rubbing compound then a scratch remover on them.

I did, no one answered. Anyway, i got the rubbing compound but i couldnt find 1500 grit sand paper. The highest i could find was 600. Would the 600 work or should i look harder for the 1500?

600 won't work. Go to a Checkers, that's where I found higher grit automotive sand paper. They had 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, and 2000 for $3.49 for 5 sheets.
