Default Skunk2? How can i tell?

Im buying a p28ecu...
and the guy says its a real skunk 2 ecu..
How can i tell..do i open it, does the chip say skunk 2??
please help asap..because im on my way to go buy it.

As far as i know, theres really no way to tell. Its easy for anyone to write "skunk2" on a sticker.

thats a good idea... what do i tell them.

the ecu had a big sticker. that coverd up half of the ecu.
what they did is cut some of the sticker off and only left skunk2 racing.
wonder what the other half said.

Also when does vtec engage?

well to me it would be obvious.
i would ask "how can i determine if an ecu being sold to me as an authantic skunk2 programmed ecus REALLY is authentic?"
they can also tell you basic specs, as well as if their chips are serialized as well.
I know that I ahve a real Dinan chip for a p13 with a Dinan serial # on it.
