i would try to find it or get another one from the dealer........its there for a reason and im sure you dont want to blow the engine for that silly little dowel pin.....

Anyone out there have one of these sitting around?

 

tried to order one of these dowel pins from the dealer. Apparently, I ordered the wrong one. I thought it was a 10 x 12 dowel, number 28 on http://www.acuraparts247.com but I guess I am wrong.

Please help asap. I need one before the weekend.

don't worry about it. as long as the o-ring is there, you're cool. i've rocked motors that way before.

 

are you sure???? It just seems like when I put the cap on it doesn't seal super tight, maybe I'm wrong but it seems like honda engineers put it there for a reason.

 

dude, you're way too paranoid. i guarantee your **** will run fine without it. but if it'll make you sleep better at night, then buy a new dowel.
if it were me, i'd go ahead and assemble the motor without. let it eat.

yea i have realized that i missed one a=after the head was on and just went without it. all is well
