Default Walbro 255 Fuel Pressure Question????

Will a Walbro 255 raise fuel pressure with a stock FPR? I heard it raises it about 8psi.

I dont understand why? Can someone please explain if it is true.

No it wont. The fpr does what it sounds like, regulate the fuel pressure.

Ya that is exactly what i thought, but for some reason people are saying the walbro pump will raise pressure.

i think it will because of the volume of fuel that is flowing the stock one probably won't be able to handle it mabe you should get a 190 instead of a 255

Yes it will. 46 psi before the install, 52 psi after the install.

You're supplying more fuel to the rail. As a result more fuel will pass through the return line. The stock fuel return orifice is sized for a 160 lph (i think) pump. Now that you're using a 255 the orifice is too small. The stock fpr becomes a restiction to your fuel system and pressure increases.

just get one to be safe, i've seen it both ways to where it doesn't increase fuel pressure and it doesn't increase it
