Default Question concerning small bandsaws???

I was wondering how yall people like your small bandsaws? I know Jet makes one but its only 1/2 hp and the miter guage for the angles suck on it. A bolt actually blocks it from being able to move and be adjusted for angles. I picked up the 1 hp from harbor freight but the blade keeps popping off. anyone have this trouble. It didnt cut to well either. Im wondering if it would be better if I got a better blade. I dont know but I need to fix this blade popping off problem. Anyone else experience it? Anyone know a good bandsaw that will cut sch. 10 well and has a pretty reasonable price? -Nick

Are you tightening the blade too much?

If it's under warranty, take it back.

the blade might not be tracking right or is to tight or to loose , you can adjust the tracking at the top wheel , look at the manual it should tell you how to do it , bandsaws are kinda funny at first to figure out how they like to be set up and to work problem free , but once you get it there should be no problems , also dont think it is going to fly right through stainless , that stuff is hard **** to cut so it takes longer .,

ya the tracking might be it or maybe the guides are too far down? which wheel does it come off of. if its the drive wheel then the rear guide may be too low. Im sure you can get it working fine
