so, i've stumbled upon a mint set of these wheels. the rubber alone makes the purchase worthwhile (advan neovas)
however, there are obvious issues with the size (17x7) and the offset (+60) and the weight (ugh, don't want to think about it)
the wheels would be used for street so the weight isn't as much a concern to me. what i'm worried about most is the offset. what size spacer will i need, if any? will i have any issues with my wheel studs if i do? will i have issues with rubbing? i currently have stock susp., but would be looking at upgrading in the near future. how badly would that much additional rotational mass affect me?
i've searched lots and haven't seen any pics of this nor found much helpful info. anyone have pics? or even opinions?
just thought i'd try something different
if it's that impractical though, i'll sell and pick something else up.

i run 15x7 +48 offset (stock suspension) its 23mm increase on the inside, dc5r is 11mm increase on the inside, only other aspect is overall diamter of the tire
I remember seeing a DC2 R a while back with DC5 wheels. His car was lowered as well and it looked good. Just pionting out that is has been done.

agreed. that's the big disadvantage at this point. but it's just for street, so not as much an issue.

There are quite a few UK ITR owners running DC5 wheels, i think many of them are using 5mm or 10mm spacers to drop the offset to +55/50 and have no issues with them rubbing
you can use a 20mm spacer so you dont have to install longer bolts, which sucks, cause it is much work. With an 20mm spacer-system it will work perfect. You get out with 400 offset which is nearly perfect and the rim is close to the fender lip.
I have a set of DC5-R rims, silver, some minor curb damage on 1 rim. 590 EURO + shipping

so wouldn't i need a longer wheel stud with a 20mm spacer? that was my impression. thanks then, i will look into that. i have my wheels already though (should arrive this week)

If you were running 5mm spacers at each corner, totaling 20mm you would NOT need exteneded wheel studs. Anything much more than 8mm per wheel on a stock wheel stud would not give you enough turns of a lugnut to call the car safe. The other thing to make sure of is if you go with a longer wheels stud and wheel spacers(+8mm), get a spacer that will keep the wheel hub-centric. Otherwise you could run into problems with vibrations when driving. I had purchased a set of DC5 wheels for my ITR and because of the offset complications(Rear wheels rub trailing arms w/o spacers) ended up putting them on a RSX instead, which also consequently needed wheel spacers as well.
PM me if you want more details.

I've never heard of anyone calculating total spacing before -- but the point on +8mm or larger spacers is very helpful. I'm suprised someone hasn't collated this data previously.
Where can you source hub-centric spacers for a reasonable price?

In the prior post, someone had written that 20mm wheel spacers without extd. studs would be fine. In an attempt to understand the logic, I added up 5mm at each corner to total 20mm. That is the only thing I could figure out. Otherwise, running a 20mm spacer on each corner without an extd wheel stud would just be ludicrous.
As a general rule of
You should be able to turn the lug nut 7-8 full times to be safe.
AS for sourcing the hub centric spacers... eibach makes prospacers for regular Tegs, for ITR owners a custom unit would be needed.
Motorsport Tech. 909.514.0091
The specifications would be a 56mm centerbore & 5x114 bolt pattern. I think there setup comes with the extd. studs.

I wonder if j00 would be even able to start the lugnut w/ a 20mm spacer on a stock stud.
