I know there were discussions before on the 01-02 gen6 tail lamps not fitting the 98-00 body. cant find it

anyway, can someone please confirm what needs to be changed to do this? (does it include the bumper and trunk?)

I dont know why they wouldnt fit...the bulbs are just placed differently due to the signal and reverse lights changing sides top to bottom...

 

exactly what i thought. but someone here said it wont. didnt follow up on it since i wasnt going to buy the tail lamps yet. now im ready and i tried searching and cant find it

The 2001-2002 Generation 6 Tail Lamps will not fit the 98-00 Accords.

 

In order to change from the 98-00 taillights to the 01-02 taillights, or vice versa, you will need to get either a 98-00 or 01-02 trunk depending on what taillights you are getting. The outer peices of the taillights are all the same. However, the inner taillights that are mounting in the trunk lid are slightly different.
