yeah stock rsx is 45 offset. i think u go with 15mm spacers, and get some extended lugs as well b/c 15mm is a **** load of spacing and u dont want ur stock lug nuts half way on if u know what i mean.

I don't know who the owner was, unfortunately.

I'll let you know hopefully later this week when the wheels come in

to put the DC5R wheels on a Type S you will HAVE to buy wheel studs, because to space them out enough to look correct you only get about 4 turns on your stud with a lugnut which is not good, I think the basic rule is no less than 8 turns. the DC5R wheels will bolt up, but IMO it doesnt look right unless spaced out to make up for the difference in offset/or buy the brembo's with the wheels.

I tried running 04 Accord V6 wheels on my car because they look similar to the DC5R wheels (which are +50 i think) and it just wouldnt happen, not without looking stupid and ruining the handling of the car. I also had the 04 Accord FP wheels but the they didnt fit well either.

EDIT: to the guy with the DC2R, we have tried the DC2R w/DC5R wheel swap that you are talking about, and the only thing you will notice is the rear (if your car isnt lowered) the rear sticks in a bit far for my taste, but the front looks ok.

and ok, thanks, this is the sort of feedback i was hoping for in another thread. does it look weird not lowered? ie very 4x4. i'm currently on stock susp. and yeah, i was thinking i would use a 5-10mm spacer to push it out if necessary.

(thanks & thanks in advance)

I think that it would look better with a spacer, but it looks ok without. And yes the car does sit a little higher with the wheels on it. From what I remember the DC2R that was posted above looks like it isnt running a spacer (if it is, they're small) and you can kinda see what im talkin about if you stare at the rear in relation to the quater panel awhile, hope that helps.

IMO, I'd do a 10mm spacer, and a suttle drop with a Mugen Sport suspension or something, that would be very nice. You goin to Expo 5? I am, maybe I could take a look in person, good luck

well, 10mm offset difference isn't that big, so i imagine the difference wouldn't be so bad visually. you really have to look for it. as for suspension, for me, it's go big or go home. it should've been the first upgrade i did, but things got a bit mixed up. i was looking at tein RA or zeal B6/S6... depends on what comes up and how many hours i can get at work probably not in time for expo... lots of other things i need to get done first.

so yes, i will be there, i'll be instructing, so i will see you there for sure

Although 10mm's might not be very big, a 10mm difference in offset is HUGE on a car when your talkin 17" wheels with a relatively small tire, for instance... that same DC2R im talkin about we tried the 04 Accord wheels on it which (after looking) are 55mm offset and it was a very noticable difference over his OEM wheels. IMO 5mm's of positive offset can make a night and day change visually.

hmm another one of the guys said to go with a 20mm spacer to bring the offset down to 40mm. will have to look into that and see how that lines things up.
