I lived in Yuba City all of my life(unitl I moved to the East Coast last year). Yuba county (Marysville, Olivehurst, Linda, Wheatland) officials have been saying that this "Motorplex" is going to be a reality for years with no effort at all. There have been several people that have promised to back the idea(With big funds) but, have always backed out. The intention was a motorplex/Ampitheatre and the ampithatre was the only project followed through with. IMO, this "Motorplex" will never happen! Sad but, true.

Yeah, you can see it off the interstate heading from Yuba city to Roseville/Sac. I lived there for three years and saw them working on it for maybe 2 months tops. Hopefully it will finish, but not looking so good.

Theres been many arguments about the site and they finally settled on yuba city and suppose to be started back in 2001 or 2002 and completed in 2005....The original site was suppose to be by the sac international airport. But farmers and environentalist argued about pollution in the soil and water. In which I understand the concerns. The B.S. arguement was noise pollution...wtf!!! It's by an airport. How much louder would it have gotten? It would of brought in lots of business for sac and the surrounding area but they wanted a baseball park. How many people you know spend more than $150.00 to go to a regular baseball game? In racing it would've brought in a average of around $100.00 to $200.00 a person on a major event. Tickets/parking/food/ and don't forget BEER!!! Lol. In racing they would have to come weeks early to do testing (suspension setup/tire, ect). The crew would have to eat and maybe shop. That money for the local businesses. Remember it's not just gonna be a drag race track...It was suppose to have around 8 different configerable tracks for nascar/motorcycle/lemans/scca/cart, ect. But sadly Sac dropped the ball.
And with all the new development going around the old track...They just want to shut it down...Remember when you could run slicks on wednesday nights...Then the new housing came along and complained that slicks made it too loud...B.S. And now Wednesday nights won't allow slicks. But the v-8's can have there street slicks...Hmmm let me put a few grooves in my slicks and have a D.O.T. on it and I could run it on wednesday nights. Sh#t...the v-8's are louder than what the slicks noises would make...I'm not ragging on no v-8's, It's just one sided. Come on Tony let us be able to run our slicks...Import and domestics.

I know I'm gonna get some criticism about this post...Let them come. I know that my facts may not be 100% correct but you get the gist. This is just my opinion.
