How do i drop the rear crossmember?
I think there's just four bolts there. There's a bunch of stuff that's bolted to it though, and I don't know if it would get in the way. I imagine the swaybar and steering rack have to come off....
I have done it a number of times for HF's. Just take the shock out, the fork, the axles need to come out (you can pop the lwoer ball joint out, but I don't), the brake line, remove the radius rod bolts on the lower control arm, sway bar end links, and the steering joint inside the car, remove that bolt. If you take it out as an assembly, then you need to take out the nuts that hold in the upper control arms. Then you can take the four underneath out and drop it, the steering rack is kind of part of the rear crossmember, it will stay inside of the rear crossmember. Why are you taking it out? Do you own a helms manual?
