h22 in 90 accord starting and skipping
i've got a 90 accord with an h22 swap i have had the motor for about 2 months and it ran good and my vtec kicks in like a shot of gas, about a week ago me and my brother decided to add nitrous to my engine, we didnt have a kit i just had a selonoid and some real thin copper line after we had it hooked up we went down the road and tested it, that thing hauled *** very quick i only sprayed it 2 times, that 2nd time when we slowed down i started to hear this skipping noise but u barely could hear it so i went on home and when i got there the skipping was louder than before like the plugs were dead, so i put new plugs in it and still skipping i changed the fuel injectors, fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, fuel pump, throttle body, emmision control box, fast idle vale, and i checked the timming all of that was fine, and my other problem is it takes me about 30 min to and hour just to get it started it turns and turns and will not catch unless i push my gas pedal to the floor so that it can get some air and then it will catch for about 5 seconds and cuts off but sooner or later it will stay running but it skips, also it blows a light smoke out of my breather hole on the valve cover it has never did that before so my next guess is that i bent a valve or its a cracked valve spring but if anyone else has an idea i would greatly appreciate it i realy miss driving my h22 someone help me.
Sounds like a piston cracked it's lands in between the rings....you can replace the pistons and then go shoot some more nitrous in to it. Then the next weekend you can replace pistons again.
i pulled my head off and there were no bent valves, no cracked springs, and no cracked pistons, anybody have any idea what else it might be?
