Default clutch problem

ok...i made a post about this a few weeks back, but on the ZCR.

It all started when i hit a bump pretty hard and bottomed out my car. Right after that i was home. I went out later and my CRX felt really weird.

The only way to discribe it is that the clutch isn't fully engaging, but does sometimes. If i rev the engine high when i shift it will sometimes shift perfect, but maybe only 1/2 the time.

So i'm thinking that my clutch is having a problem. I wanted to know if anyone else had this problem and how/if you fixed it

a guy on theZCR told me to re adjust the clutch cable, so i did and it didn't fix it. it actually made it worse.

It could be the clutch cable i guess, but i have no way to really tell unless i replace it

The clutch is held in place by a 1" thick splined piece of metal. The pressure plate is attached w/ 8 (i think) bolts, and the flywheel with 6 bolts. I've never come across any of those being loose w/ the 7 civics I've owned.

Depending on the mileage of the pressure plate/clutch/throwout bearing there is a very slight (almost minute) chance that with a hard engagemen one of those components could break. But I dont think that would happen from bottoming out.

Things to check:

Clutch cable...dont think this would be affected...but check it anyway.
Shift Linkage
Trans case

Thats all I can think of off the top of my head.

yeah it wasn't from hard engagement...i was pulling into a parking lot when a huge truck took his 1/2 out of the middle

I think i might have possibly bent the little arm that the clutch cable attaches too. Because its almost as if it gets caught or something and doesn't fully catch

Or i've heard about rare experiences where the pressure plates fins get bent. But i don't know the symptoms of that

EDIT** oh and i just (2 months ago) put in this engine, a DOHC ZC with the Si tranny

Basically you're going to have to get down there and look at the bottom of your case, linkages etc. If you broke something inside, im sure you would hear some crazy sounds.
