It sounds like a good deal! I paid $1900 for my '90 EX 4DR w/220K miles. According to the ad (no pun intended), it seems like the car has been well cared for. I would buy it if I was in the market for another 4th generation Accord.

It looks Ok but they are extremely poor quality pictures. Looks familiar. I have a 93 exactly like that and the following are problem area's I've encountered. Inner door handles, power radio antenna, rust on the rear quarter panel right behind the tire where it meets the front top edge of the bumper cover (Northern cars only), CV joints, and A/C Compressor. He claims the timing belt has already been changed therefore I didn't add that to my list. Another thing to watch closely for is engine smoke. You'll want to steer clear of this one if it is burning oil. Personally I wouldn't buy a car from anyone that didn't know the difference between breaks and Brakes. My .02. Good luck.

This is my car. http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/733083

I would check for the typical honda cancer (rocker panel rust in fron of rear wheels) i would also ask when the last time the clutch was replaced
that seems like a good price and make sure it doesnt burn oil

That one actually looks to be in pretty decent shape. None of the neat options tho. If I were you, I would just check those panels thoroughly. I would also check the trunk to see if/how bad the leak is. The other things are pretty obvious, chceck all the panel gaps to make sure there's no evidence of a collision. If they let you pull the spark plugs to check the tube seals, which is a common error. See if the main relay's been replaced, which is another common annoyance. Other than that just make sure that its safe and the title's clear.

checked the car..no rust in the spots that you mentioned however it does have some rust on the right door around the key area..and some rust near the right bumper in the back.

this is just minor rust but how do i go about removing it..sanding it down then getting the filler??

What he said. The most pricey repair of all.

it has some in that spot but the paint is just bubbled up. It hasn't eaten through the metal yet!

What can I do to prevent it from spreading? Sand it?? Then get filler?

See the thing is, you can't stop rust once it's started. (short of massive surgury that will cost 2x what you paid for it)

If your just going to use it as a commuter car and you just want to cosmetically patch it, OK. That will work for a year or so.

Most body shops would sand, bondo, and paint for maybe $300-$400. Thing is, you'll likely need to do every 18 months.

If you want to DIY, just do a search for "rust repair" here and at CB7tuner.com
