Default Bose Stereo in base RSX

I'm moving to Temecula, CA on March 5th and have an 05 RSX waiting for me at the Norm Reeves Acura Dealer. Its the base model ( dont feel like messin with manual out in traffic ) and I was wondering if there is anyway to get the Bose system thats in the Type-S in the base RSX. Its not listed as an option, but I was thinking someone has had to have the same question so I figured I would ask. If I find a way to get that Bose system would I have any problem throwin it in myself. I'm pretty good with stereo equipment as it is but I want the clean look of that Bose system in my RSX.

Even the wiring is different so technically you would have to swap that out. You would also have to pretty much gut the whole car to get the sub mounted inside the spare, the headunit, and the biggest bitch, replacing the door speakers and installing the extra speakers that make the Bose system what it is. Not worth it like Nip said.

Just change your headunit. Thats what i did. And since your movin local, i have some subs with amps for sale. I originally had the one sub, then upgraded to 2. It sounds great actually. Better than a stock type s system. My reason for taking it out is because having space for surfboards/crap is more valuable to me than sound. It seems i care less about loud music the older im getting Look at link in sig for more info.

it's not worth the work and trouble, it's not that difficult once you have all the components but with the time and money spent on installing another stock system you'll be better off buying after market or just hooking up the infiniti bass link to your stock system it will be way better than the stock bose system. I have the bose system and still put the infinty bass link just to make it sound decent

There is a whole ton of info about this topic (it's greatly debated about as far as worth/value is concerned) on clubrsx. Everyone will say it's not worth it, but there are some good write ups on how to do it.
