Type R JDM shift boot ....
Civic Type R shift boot does have the red stitches but is a different boot than the ITR one. The CTR one is larger, look at a Civic and you can see the difference between the Integra and Civic. Plus they have different mounting plates.
Another easy way is to call the Acura dealership and ask for the part number for the Integra boot, than call the Honda dealership and ask for the part number for the civic boot. I am 100% sure they are different part numbers.

You can switch mounting plates, but there is a size difference in the actual boots
Civic Type R is bigger.
Bottom line, Civic Type R shift boot is a different part than the Integra Type R boot.
Unless you believe everything you read on ebay, than the Type R boot is the same and can fit Preludes, Crxs, S2000s, all gen. Integras, all gen. Civics, RSXs, all Hondas and some Toyotas. I wonder how they feel when the winning bidder gets the shift boots and finds out that it looks like crap after switching mounting brackets.
Especially if they have a 96-up civic (and the ITR shift boot that supposedly fits stretches to the point where it is going to rip going from 1st to 2nd) because the ITR shift boot is smaller.
BTW, I am pretty sure I saw an ITR shift boot on ebay for like $10, but that was a couple of days ago.
