Default need a little help deciding.

I'm now getting into autoX. My car is about to be completely stripped to Just the body. I, by myself, am going to rebuild my '94 CX hatchback.

Now, what I need help deciding on is either a pretty well built turbo D16Y8, or a B16 with a few mods. My budget is about 8 grand. But most of it is going to be for suspension. Any help is welcomed.

Go to http://www.scca.com/Solo/Index...0|070&~=

Download a copy of the rules and then decide what class you want your car to fit in. It's easier to build a car to the rules than to build a car and then find a class for it to compete. Since you didn't state any car class your questions aren't easily answered.

Going in that direction is quickly going to make your car illegal for all but the fastest (and most expensive) classes. That's fine if you're doing the build for reasons other than your newfound interest in autocrossing, but if you're building a purpose-built autocross car, you're in for a world of pain.
