Default 91 Civic dx hatch Oil drain plug

Hey there. i have a 91 civic DX hatchback with a striped drain plug. i am going to get a new one but, say it is the socket thats striped...what can i do.

Also...where is the dipstick for tranny fluid. its a 5 speed,

If the socket head on the drain bolt is stripped get a new one. If the threads on the plug are stripped but the pan is ok chase the threads on the pan and get a new drain bolt. If the pan is stripped you can tap the pan and get an oversize drain bolt. However, if the pan is screwed I would just get another one from a salvage yard.

There is not a dipstick for the transmission fluid on the 88-91 civic/crx transmissions.
