hello all

i had my bores inspected by an engine reconditioning company who say that they are 4 thou out (this is not necessarily central to the bore centre. i.e oval or worn on one side more than another)

i have ordered some oversize honda pistons which are 0.25 mm oversized. the engineering company dont think that these are oversize enough and so want me to get 0.5 mm oversize. the problem is that honda dont do 0.5 oversize and i have alredy have the 0.25 pistons (i.e cant take them back)

what do i do. i am thinking of getting the block bored for the oversize pistons an see if they are round enough to work, i.e within hondas wear limit.

anyone have any experience with honda reboring etc or have any advice.

there are a number of companies that make oem honda replicas in varying sizes. A company named topline comes to mind
