I was in the same situation as you are. When i got mine, i got the car for $22,150 plus fees. I had 10,000 that i put down on the car, plus i qualified for their lowest APR. My mo. payment is 309.68 and that is with a 100,000 mi. warranty that they threw in for me. I did the math, and it is a smarter idea to put 10,000 down and make payments. If you decide to put nothing down and then make payments with the 10k, you'll most likely not get a good APR, and interest will make your payments much more. Like 500 to 600 or so, and this is for 5 years. If you get good APR, put the money down, and youll have at least 10,000 equity on the vehicle and youll save some interest payments on the car. For instance, you finance a car that is 23,000. You put down 10k, and your only financing 13k. OR you put nothing down and finance 23k straight up. In the end, youll have paid almost double the interest. If you dont think you can afford the 300 after you throw down 10k, you prolly shouldnt be looking at the car then. Hope this helps, i was in your shoes at one point in time too bud. In the end, i love the car...you will too!!!

It really depends,
In todays stock market and bonds, I will put a good chunk of down since the money you put down WILL NOT likely make money in other places. CDs are just around 2% right now, bonds have been testy and stocks, hmmmmmm.

Unless your APR is 0.9%, then put NOTHING DOWN.
