anyone with ST sway bars?
does anyone have a problem with your exhaust resting on the swai bar...i just installed the bar yesterday and my exhaust (greddy) is resting on the bar...i guess im going to have to put a piece of rubber hose in between...now the B pie is hanging down and my muffer is at an angle....anyone with this problem
nope.
Of course, i had the bar installed, then had an ultraflo (quieter than most exhaust systems, and costs $200 cheaper than the cheapest exhaust system and works just as good) installed and it was welded to fit without hitting the bar.

Would changing the rubber exhaust hangers help the problem any?
Those things are at least 11 years old( assuming you had a 91, and they could be sagging. Would putting in new hangers raise the exhaust enough to keep it from hitting the sway bar?
just a thought.

Actually, my Apexi hit my sway bar quite a bit (EF HB). Take the exhaust off and
bend the metal hangers ON THE exhaust (each of them) so they hold the exhaust closer to the body. If it still hits (it shouldn't), use some zip ties around the hanger and some point on the body, hold up the exhaust so you can tighten them. This will keep the exhaust from bouncing up and down, or backward and forward. And remember, 1 zip tie equals 8mm bolt, 2 equals 12mm bolt, etc.

(P.S. zip ties hold most of my car together, body panels, wires, exhaust, etc. That's why I ALWAYS have bolts left over

It used to hit my stock exhaust. I always had a problem with the endlinks breaking from being put into weird angles as well. Are you having problems with that? If not, is your car lowered? It seemed like it wouldn't be as much a problem if the car was lowered.
Mine hits the exhaust hanger on my Thermal exhaust on my 91 Si. I've bent and ground the hell out of it, and it still hits. It drives me crazy. My friend's thermal on his 94 hatch hits too. Sus Tech needs to think about other parts when they design their stuff. Anyway, he put a piece of an old tire on his and it has yet to rub through. He tired everthing else you could think of... leather belt (wore through right away), header wrap (right away), baby chicken (died but cooked well), fish (smelled), hired a midget to pull up on the exhaust tip all of the time (quit and went to circus), nothing but the tire has worked so far. Somehow, it doesn't melt either.
Have you changed the length of the endlinks (shortened them?). I've got ST bars on my '91 Civic, lowered with Eibach sportlines. My 3" Thermal clears the sway bar...I admit that I had to grind some of the exhaust hanger away to get clearance.
