Default JDM civic type r camshafts vs. USDM gsr camshafts???

I have a 97 teg gsr and I met a guy who would sell me some slightly used civic type r camshafts. IF they are in good condition what is a fair price to get them? Would i see big gains from ctr camshafts or is it even worth it? any information on this would be very helpful, thanks.

they are more aggressive than gsr cams. They are worthless without cam gears and tuning.

Used market price on LEGITAMATE Integra Type R cams are usually going for around $350.00 to $400.00 used. I would say it's safe that the Civic Type R cams are around that price.

Like the other guy said, you will need to do some tuning to get the full potential out of them, but don't forget it would be in your best interest to upgrade the valve springs and retainers at the same time.

If you stear away from both, I have the full Type R valve train for sale in my sig. Good luck.
