Driveshaft Shop Level 5.....
I belive u need the abs knuckles because the new hub for the stage 5 is larger and wont fit unless has ABS knuckle (larger bearing) could be wrong though

How coincidental. I was just going through this today with mine. I bought mine from another local shop that had to sell a bunch of inventory to us becuase they were going out of business. So I was supplied with the axles and nuts only. I tried them in my '92 Civic front hubs, and the spline is too large. Try them in a set of driveshaft shop hubs, and they're too small. Great. So I've planned on calling them for the last couple of days, but they close at 5pm eastern (stupid eastern time), so that gives me until 3pm MST to call, which I'm typically too busy to remember until things slow down.
Anyway, I was going to try a CR-V hub when I got the chance, but haven't had the opportunity yet.
Anyone on confirmation that they fit in Integra ABS hubs?

the new stage 5's have a huge outter spline... way bigger than any stock honda spline.
the reason u need the abs spindle is because it uses the larger wheel bearings... the axle itself considering the size probably wouldnt fit through a small bearing id! if anybody has any questions about dss stuff or needs anything feel free to contact me. they are local to me and i actually have to run over there tommorro anyway

I agree, Tom has the DSS info. He helped me out a lot!! thanks tom. I sent out my stage 5 and Frank at DSS is changing the hubs to a 4 lug so I wouldnt need to change my rims. Great service.. You should give tom a call or frank at dss.

I believe you need to use dss hubs or it might even be prelude! But when we purchased our they fit into our stage 4 hubs, they send you the hubs and the extended studs!

Not to ruin everyones day but the dds axles even stage 5's can't handle worth ****. I've seen time and time again people snapping these thing's with 500 plus whp. I had a friend snap two of these in the same day out of the burnout box. When his honda oem's lasted longer. He switched to prodrive stage 1 axles with stage 2 hub ends. Hasn't broken them yet. As for brents advice on mark williams, thats hella insurance there, those babies are worth every penny, even rob moore set ups. But prodrive set ups are alot cheaper and will do you well. sorry not trying to hate.

I have used my same stage 5's for the last 2 race seasons with a 28inch slick with over 700 ponies and hav'nt broken them yet. A lot has to do with the driver knowing how to launch the car and what type of clutch you have as well. I will be using DSS axles in the new Laskey Racing vehicle as well. Make Williams are 5k...yes, nice stuff but thats not chump change. If anyone needs pricing or help, I am also a DSS dealer

Back on topic, called and spoke to DSS today, after setting up an account with them, I found that you need to get their hubs which are around $150 each and come compelete with ARP wheel studs. Mine will be at the shop next week and I'll take pictures of everything if anyone wants to see.

We have most of the Rob Moore set up in house now just waiting on a few more parts. When it is finished we will post pics. Everything is such high quality we are very pleased.

i dont mean to be bashing companies so maybe i should just stay out of this... but.....
for 1... mark williams and nitro is really nice stuff but its really pricey... if u have the money... then go for it... dss is really nice stuff as well but a hell of a lot cheaper... they are constantly growing with the sport... as the sport mnakes more power and brakes more stuff... dss is rediseigning stuff to make it hold up without having to jump to a $5k set of axles... oh... i wonder what skunk2 is using now

There are way too many variables involved when people mention that they broke an axle....I've seen a stock H22A axle run a 10 second timeslip with a high 1.4 60ft. I've also seen some high dollar axles break on a 12 second car.
If the axles are not straight, have a 90 degree bend in them, I dont care what axle is in the car, its going to break.
Launching. If you have a stage 300 clutch in the car and you side step the beotch, its going to break.
I can only speak from experience, we have had more than our share of axle breakage, but we are pushing 1.2 60 ft's now and with the All Motor side getting so fast, you need to cross your fingers when you dump it.
I have had 100% perfect success with the DriveShaftShop. Frank has helped us more then anybody could expect. He has gone out of his way many times to send us some parts, even pay next day shipping without charging. We are running Stage VI from DSS and they haven't budged yet this year. (over 20 1.3 60 ft's. best of 1.31) The last race in Texas last year, we stripped all the gears off of first gear and the shaft on a H22A trans....axles held up fine) I've seen the shafts break, cups break, even the outer bell twist and shear in half.
If you shock the axles at the line, they will break. Figure out a way to slide the car off the line, rather than "brick" it. Even Stock axles will last.
P.S. No comments on Mark Williams or Gators, I have had no experience with them.
