ok guys i just bought a 92 honda civic vx hatch....i bring it home fine but the battery light was on than next morning i went to go start it it just started cranking...the fuel pump wasn't on when i turned the key...so i checked the 15 fuse under the dash and it's good checked motor ground it was good, so i took a wire and hooked it up to the green and yellow on the fuel pump and run it to the battery, car started right up but than i took it off it shut off...so i lefted it off and started the car and it went on without the wire on the battery so i drove around than went home and shut it off and than it didn't start again it's like the fuel pump getting power on and off wat can this be guys....can it be the main fuse under the dash...if it is wat color or number is it ????????

 

sounds like a loose or grounding out wire. if it was a fuse it would either work or wouldnt work.

 

I dont think it would be the fuse esp. if you already checked it, try runing along the fuel pump line, see if possibly it had a fuel cut off switch and check to see that... Its quite possible that someone might of rigged one up and either left it there or possibly took it off and you are getting a bad connections some where...

i checked it i kno it's not the fuse cause it will work or won't work like u said but can it be the main relay for the fuel pump??? anybody got pics of wat it looks like??

it sounds like you probably have a main fuel pump/ fuel injecter main relay problem.... its located on the side of the under dash fuse box thing.. its a pretty big relay.... its actually two relays in one.
