Default How should I clean my air filter?

I was looking at my filter today, and it's pretty dirty and I want to clean it. It's the stock filter. Can I just rinse it from inside out or is there some special procedure to clean it? I have a 97 gsr and I've searched already. Thanks in advance.

I know the K&N drop-in filter have some kind of oil to clean their's but i dunno about the stock filter. I would try to just pull whatever is in it out, or get a new stock filter.

you can't wash a stock filter. they're paper. spend some money on a k&n so you can clean it instead of buying them over and over.

Get a K&N. The stock air filter is hard to clean and not damage at the same time and you will save so much money by getting a filter thats made to be reusable. Just don't look at the price tag and get the K&N, its cheaper in the long run.
