Has any one seen this. It's a new rim it looks super light weight and it's impossible to get a flat tire.

Yuk...I'll stick with old school "air filled" tires.

Can't wait till all the "rappers" floss that junk on their Humdingers.

interesting. i wonder how long or fast it will be accepted in todays market. did you know that PIAA also has wheels on the market???

The idea is cool. The "Tweel" is ugly.

 

thats a very interesting concept... if it those out performs conventional tires and priced reasonably then i would prolly buy them..

and for those who fear change, they will probably fill in the sidewall to make it look like a conventional tire so its easier for you all to adapt... lol

There is already a thread about this in the RR/AX forum. They wouldn't be see through in production modles though. They would look just like any other tire...

Exactly. Road & Track just did an article on this a couple of issues ago. It will look like a regular tire. That picture is basically a cross section of the inside workings of what the wheel will be like.

 

It also helps illustrate that the sidewall no longer affects the tires performance...
