Default Accord Camshafts

This is for my buddy, so please be detailed if you can, as I have no experience working on imports.

My friend already has basic bolt-on upgrades, I/H/E. He wants a lil more oomph outta his '97 Accord 4 door. It has the 4 cylinder and is a 5 speed.

I suggested camshafts...then explained what they are to him. Etc etc. He's not very mechanically inclinded. However, I cannot for the love of me find any camshafts for his accord.

He has the 2.2 liter 4 cylinder I believe. I'm not sure if it is VTEC or not. But if anyone could point me in the right direction of a good camshaft and any issues I might run into, I'd appreciate it. This will be my first OHC job, as I am a pushrod V8 guy.

Help please?

I know for a fact there are F series camshafts out there... Try http://www.webcamshafts.com, They make good stuff, I run their cams.

Also might want to look into an upgraded throttle body/intake manifold, a set of larger injectors, and an A'pexI VAFCII for Fuel & VTEC control.

Thanks, what would you reccomend for the throttle body/intake combo?

I think thats as far as he wants to take the car.

Just port/polish the stock pieces or pick up some from somebody that still has their stock motor that has switched to H22.

I *think* an H series manifold might bolt up, might want to double check on that. If so, the H22 IM, TB and Injectors would be a nice upgrade.
