What i would do is let the buffer press on the car without any pressure first, then slowly apply pressure until you get the desired shine you want. Then apply about that same amount of pressure to the rest of the car.

i have one that's plug in, and u dont apply pressure at all, you just let the weight of the buffer do everything...works wonders 

just apply wax, let it glaze up....then lay buffer it on the car and just guide it.

i see..mine is not that heavy though...so just use light pressure that enough to buff out wax?
