Can anyone help me find a cheap obd1 gs-r motor
I have a 1990 Honda Civic hatchback Dx and Im looking into putting a gs-r motor into it. I know i need to change it to mpfi and i need the obd0 to obd1 conversion wiring harness and the B series motor mount kit for b series motor into 88-91 civic hatchback.
all i need now is to find a cheap gs-r motor package. I've already looked on jspec and h motors online but i cant find anything else cheap besides ebay. I need the motor swap package that includes the ecu, axles, tranny, complete motor.
thanks for you help.

You should put a "want to buy" notice in your signature. Or post in this thread for any 88-91 Civic related parts: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=362113 Also, after a couple weeks you should be able to check the classifieds, I see GSR changeovers in there all of the time.
Good luck and welcome to HondaTech.

even through the classifieds, they are still pricey. you should just save and buy it from a reputable company (i suggest hmotorsonline.com). you dont want to take risks with such a big investment. but take a look around like crx_1.8T said and maybe you can find something good.
Another place to look for a good engine is local wrecking yards. Maybe try to keep an eye out for a GSR that got rear-ended, I have known a couple people that got really great, strong engines that way. Just give all of the yards near you a call, and have them contact you if they get any GSR's in or something.
One thing about the classifieds here: I have seen some really good deals on engines, mainly people parting out their cars. I suggest that you only buy things near you that you can go to see in person (that is what I have done all of the times so far) just to be certain that everything is good. Also, if you buy a USDM engine, try to get the papers for it showing that it is legit. Because if an officer were to pull you over and find out that the engine is hot, you will get raped.
