Default Diary of a Classic. If you love your EF, you're going to love this...tons of pics.

My new car!

I've had this car for one day now. I've driven it nearly 50 miles. I absolutely LOVE it!

1983 Honda Civic 1500S (predecessor to the "Si")

Factory A/C

200K miles.

I'm the second owner...bought brand new from David McDavid Honda in November of 1982

As you can see, the car is virtually mint. It was garage kept it's entire life.

The only flaws are two missing trim pieces
1) fender trim on passenger side
2)headlight trim on driver side fender

Tomorrow I'm going to repaint all the bumpers, and within the next month I'm going to upgrade the brakes, get some B&G springs, and replace the struts.

I just wanted to share. I'm absolutely ecstatic!

I'm painting the bumpers black along with all the rest of the trim with a paint called "Back to Black"....i'm not painting them body color.

thatbluecrx, that's a good photoshop job!

91civicLX, I've been thinking about putting a D series (d16z6 since I have a spare) into this car, but I have been searching for 3 days now and have found very little info on the second generation car.

What modifications are necessary to put it ina 1st gen like you're doing? I don't want a hack job, as this car actually is very rare and in exceptional shape.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I'm contemplating taking the Jaguar out of the garage and building a garage in the back to restore it in. I want to park the S in the garage
