Default Brembo Brake kit $ 240

I recently fryed the rotors and break pads on my DA and I need replace ments. I did find a "seem to be" nice set up. Brand new Brembo cross drilled and slotted rotors (all 4) and Axxis ultimate Ceramic pads (all 4) and the total cost is 240 right to my door. Do you think this is a legit price?

Also i was wondering if anyone knows how to install the rotors on that set up. Thank you,
Ben
P.S.
This set up.. If legit, will be going on a 1990 Acura integra LS

The thing with cross drilled rotors is they are very prone to cracking. It is best if your looking for a slight upgrade in performance (for rotors) to simply stick with slotted. You will find that your car benifits from the aftermarket pads. Cross drilled and slotted are for better cooling charactoristics but like I said, if your too hard on a rotor that is cross drilled, it is more prone to crack. That would be a very expensive repair.

Yeh, I've always heard (and if you search you will find a bunch of threads) that Brembo blanks are the best rotors to get. Cross-drilling and slotting was needed years ago when brake pad/disc material was more low-tech and gave off gases when it was heated a lot. Thus the need for slots/holes to give the gases a path to leave.

New brake materials are sophisticated enough that they no longer give off gases, and thus cross-drilling/slotting serves only to weaken your discs and lower the amount of surface area on your discs.

in short- Brembo blanks > *.brakes

Stay away from the cross drilled. You will save money and be better off by buying a nice set of blanks and some good pads. Ive had amazing luck with Hawk HPs. Also, if you 'fried' your rotors and pads now, you will toast crossdrilled.
