I have to get my axles replaced or just replace the boots. If I go the axle route, what are the best to get at a good price if I someday want to start modifying and what are some axles for just regular daily driving? Thanks for any input!

Go to autozone. Lifetime replacement warranty. They will last as long as any of those 'beefier' replacements for 6 gen.
