I wanted to know what the problem may be? My dad said it may be the gaskets that have worn out and need replacing. What do you guys suggest?

yup i had the same thing. if you go to a parts store and buy a crank case gasket set 30-40 dollars it will do the trick.

Glad to see some responses. So what do you think the problem is? Just worn out gaskets?

Yes....between the constant change of heat and cooling those rubber gaskets get worn out, just be thankful they are easy to replace .
