Air filter Question
I'm running a spoon air filter with my stock airbox which is also converted into a ram air. I've heard the spoon air filter really doesn't do a good job filtering out the stuff you don't want in your motor. Thinking about buying a K&N. Anyone know anything about the Spoon filter?
This is just a personal observation and opinion, but I dont see the point in spending the money for a Spoon filter when an actual performance intake isnt that much more expensive. If you're using the stock box then the stock filters work just fine, and I'm really skeptical that you'd actually see any gain from Spoon or any other plain drop in filter, when you could spend just a tiny bit more and see some useful gain.
I've always thought foam filters would have better airflow than anything else other than the blitz SS mesh one. Theoretically speaking those types of filters would let the most air in but probably wouldn't filter out particles that well. The ARC one, however, I've always been hearing good stuff about that filter.
