quiet / loud performance exhaust

I saw an article or Ad in Sport Compact Car mag for a kind of free flowing performance exhaust that was quiet until you pushed full throttle then it opened up and was loud and free-er flowing. Something actually moved in the muffler when it had more pressure from the engine exhaust to make it switch.
does anyone know which system this is? name ? link? thanks!

i heard of something like that years ago...... but an exhaust thats quiet until you get on the throttle is the apexi n1.

...just talked to Apex'i and he told me that they had production issues so it wont be available until 3rd quarter (Oct-Dec 2005)
