I did a search and didn't come up with much help. My friend has a 92 accord that we are changing the rotors. Now we are stuck on how exactly do we put the new wheel bearings in
You have to take them to a shop with a hydraulic press to have them pressed into the hubs. I believe you can also lightly tap them in evenly with a rubber mallet but I would not suggest that method.
Have to have the old ones pressed out and the new ones pressed in. Also have to have the inner race removed. No way you can do any of this with a hammer.
Some people will just use a hammer to put the hub back into the bearing after replacing the front rotors but it's not advisable.
When you go to replace the bearing though, in theory the bearing should just unbolt from the knuckle but it usually gets rusted in there so you need to have it pressed out. But you deffinately have to have the inner race pressed off the hub, there's no other way of removing that. Just take it to a shop. I paid a machine shop 25 per side to dissamble and reassemble (new rotors, bearings and dust shields) my front knuckles from my 95 Accord. Dropped them off and an hour later picked them up.
