hi im new to honda tech and i had a question about a header for an ex. what is the difference between 4-1 and 4-2-1?

 

piping..hehe

421 give mid power
4-1 give hi power

rpm wise

not that noticeable anyways

 

4-1 = more power top end
4-2-1 = more low end power

They both give you a little more low end, and top end but there made for a reason which is that. If your cars stock though, you wont feel **** and its probably like 2 hp

 

4 to 1(4 pipes that get welded into 1)
4 to 2 to1 (4 pipes that get welded down to 2 then down to 1)
