b16 shift linkage ??????
I did some searching before posting and found nothing. Does the JDM EF B16 shift linkage fit directly (without modification) to a USDM EF in combination with a B-series motor???????? Please help

this dude is saying that "compare a stock B16A EF chassis and a US D-Series one... you'll see that the Jap motor mounts are WAY forward to clear the ALB system. All the aftermarket companies try to tuck the inake manifold as close to the firewall as possible for better axle geometry." Is that true? he is saying that the JDM EF B shift linkage needs modification to fit B swap in a USDM EF

and depending on how they do it, it could possible mess up the axles I guess. I get some binding on my DSS axles, but I think its the axles more than the mounts since the stock axles were fine. Plus, suspension also plays a role in the axle geometry.
Not all mount kits are the same as far as how the place the motor so the general statement may not be true across the board. Like I said, the linkage I got with my swap wasn't cut or anything and it fit right in. We were surprised because I had always read that the linkage needed to modified, but this one seemed 100% stock and fit. I'm just assuming that it was a SiR linkage.
