Do you wear shoes when you're driving?
Strange question i know... but i'm curious how the experts out there drive.
I've been driving with shoes since i started driving, driven without shoes before in autos. Tonight i was forced to drive a manual barefoot.... it's so bloody different.
It's not better or worse to drive with or without them is there?

Some states it is illegal to drive without shoes. I wouldn't. Harder to heal-toe and just feels dangerous (in case of accident).

Long trips = yes (keeps my foot from falling a sleep)
Short trips or bad weather = no

Thats really interesting.
I know alot of people who CAN'T drive with shoes on. And been like that for decades.
I guess it's good practise to have shoes on then

Its to hard to modulate the pedals without shoes in a safe or effective way. I once drove without shoes and I thought I was gonna crash and DIEEEEEE!!

I have size 12 shoes and when I drove my friends 88 VW Fox I had to take my shoes off because those pedals were to damn close together! Other then that I would keep my shoes on.

For me, a wore out pair of cheap hiking boots (THIN!)
My instructor and demigod, Todd Reid, uses wrestling shoes.
I plead the fifth on the turn 6 OH incident. Even Todd will admit dirt tracking (straight off!) was THE option until the very last moment.

When I first learned to drive stick, it was easier without shoes. But now that Ive learned its difficult for me to drive without shoes, or I guess its just not comfortable.

Driving without shoes is dangerous in my eyes... alsways wearing some Asics or Nikes for trips and daily driving, sometimes some expensive black-leather shoes when I`m at work.

In the summer, I go everywhere with casual slippers. So when I drive the car, I will have to use my bare feet.
And...ouch, those Mugen pedals hurts!

FYI, Zarnadi promised a return to racing with artificial limps. I don't understand how anyone can find it funny to use humor on someone with such level of commitments in racing. I admire him more than anyone on RTR or SVWC for that matter......the guy gave his heart and soul and you people are making fun of him?
