Default 1990 CRX DX 230K MILES W/ 3 INCH KTELLER STAINLESS EXHAUST NEW JERSEY

I have a 90 CRX DX with 230k miles.

Those pictures were taken 10k miles ago. It keeps snowing, so I cant get a chance to get new pictures, but it looks about the same.

As 90s Hondas go it is pretty stock. Clean slate for mods. As you can imagine, the D series is reliable. Got me to work everyday without fail. It still has a good bit of life left in it, but with 230k miles on it, it probably is close to time for a rebuild or replacement. It does use oil.

What isnt stock:

Exhaust, I put a stainless steel 3 inch K teller system on the car when the oem style muffler I had on there exploded and the pipe between the cat and the axle sheared. Its half TIG welded because I ran out of argon the day I set aside to install it and havent had time to finish. Pictures of that can be found here

It currently has a $100 stainless steel flexpipe along with a stainless steel magnaflow muffler. If the buyer brings me a 3 inch cat when I sell it, I will install a new cat with a MIG at no extra charge so the car can pass emissions. It passed emissions last year at a state inspection facility with a 2 1/4 inch cat I am not including.

Sound, I upgraded the audio system to 6.5 inch coaxial speakers and put a Sony MP3 playing Head unit in. The removable face is now finicky to click in, but it still works.

I also have a set of aluminum AZ race b series mounts(like hasport) and fake leather seats from a later civic. Fake leather seats arent perfect but are better then whats in there. Also have some misc b series stuff laying around.

Car has new tires on it (less then 3k old) and a full size spare tire. Its actually an OEM Honda alloy.

why am I selling? I upgraded to a 2005 subaru legacy GT as a daily driver because I decided I wanted something new and leather. The CRX is reliable.

So the prices I have in my head are:

$1,500 as it is and I will include the mounts.
$1,250 without the mounts or the speakers or head unit(i could probably be talked into leaving the head unit in there . . .ok, 1250 and ill leave the head unit in there)
$1,000 stripped... no exhaust/sound

I would rather sell as much stuff as i can before parting it up and placing separately on ebay.

I am open to offers and actually would consider a trade involving a vtec B series motor.

Things a potential buyer should be aware of:

Even with this stuff, I think this car would make a great first car for a new driver. Or a good cheap car for a college student(gets 40 miles/gallon). I used it through my last two years of school. Or even a project car if someone wants to put some work into it.

In case anyone else is wondering, it is a 5 speed and the clutch works perfect. No slipping.

i have had a couple people ask me about selling just the exhaust. I want to sell the entire car. I dont want to be unable to sell the car because it is unmuffled and i do not have the time to put a cheap system on there.

If someone buys the car for $1k and I am left with the exhaust, I will sell it. In the meantime, if you want to make an offer, make an offer. If just the car gets sold, i will sell it to the best offer. Local pick up only. my zip is 08003.

cleaned it up a little bit this afternoon:

the wheels look a little nicer now. I bought the paint before i got the new tires, but didnt have the time to paint the wheels before i put the new tires on. Figured it was now or never.

Not the *right* way to do it, but it looks more presentable now.

I also pulled out my 2 way bostons and put in some 3 ways

they actually sound really good.

Listening to both sets of speakers off of head unit power, I think you would be surprised. I know I was. I actually recommended my them to my best friend that just bought a GSR. I told him to come over to listen to the road runners before buying name brand speakers.

and I picked em up from walmart not pep boys

and I could have been a real a$$ and put the blown stock speakers back in.

thanks for the bump though

HT special ... to this sunday only. I will sell the CRX minus KTELLER exhaust but with complete currently installed sound system(SONY MP3 playing head unit and 3 ways) for $1k.

need vtec head

I would consider trading you the car minus the fancy exhaust for a full b16 and tranny if no one has cash.
