took my first drive on a 04 today. i was suprised it feels roomier and handles more refined than the 01 i drove 2 years ago. i can actually have a decent conversation in it without shouting on the freeway. the shifter felt like butter. smooth as a ice at 55 on 2nd. car was quiet except for the engine. the car wasnt jerky like the ap1 at all or am i just imagining it? the salesman of course wanted me to buy the used 05 right then and there. its 1500 miles with a 7 year warranty. sticker was for 31k. i'd go for 26 for it i think. but i know the dealership isnt going to sell it for 26 or even 26.5 for it.

i'm looking for a 02 or an 04. i like how the 02 looks compared to the 00-01, plus i heard it's got better synchros in the clutch, more deadening material. for $5k more, i can get an 04 on ebay or a auto broker.

what do you guys think of an autobroker? they only charge $500 but it is buying a car at dealership trade in values isnt it?

 

yea the 04+ s2k is so much more of a better car it isnt funny! i love everything about them!! i say get the 04. we have a couple 04s on the lot we would get rid of cheap! get ahold of us http://www.hardtopguy.com good luck!

i have no clue if the 06s are goin to change my guess is that they will somewhat.

i really like the look of the 04+ also. if only i could afford one.

I have one Berlina Black, one Grand Prix White, and one New Formula Red sitting on the ground right now.

I have a Suzuka Blue and a Sebring Silver w/ Red in transit.

 

Yes 04's and 05's are the same...there isnt even word yet that there will BE a 2006 model, so you might as well get the 2005 model, i doubt if they havent brought anything out yet for 2006, that it will be different...maybe a new color or something, or more interior options.

We're still loving our NFR 04 just as much as the day we bought it.

 

i suspect color changes and some minor interior, honda does this every 2 yrs and then a facelift or new model every 4 yrs

I didnt say necessarily better, so as much as, more refined, which it really is. It has really nice touches on it. Sure it doesnt rev as high but it has more torque so you wouldnt need to rev that high. I'd hardly call 8k rpm as that much difference from 9k.

 

hmm.. I don't know if i like the look of the ap2s as much.. there are minor differences from what i can tell, being that i haven't driven one yet, but I guess I'm just biased because I am absolutely in love with my ap1. I do like the front bumpers on the ap2s better... but that's it.

 

"better" is subjective. i personally prefer the 02-03 over any other model.

 

The argument between which S2000 is better is like saying "Whats better...$1,000,000 in hundreds or thousands?" Its silly and both cars are incredible.
