red xxx, but just go to xenocron.com he's got a good write up about it. If you take the cover off you should have a 28 pin connector, not a 42(?)

Your correct sir. It's tough to see because the puicture is small, but that IC socket on the bottom right of the picture looks like the 42 pin. Meaning it's not the external ROM or chippable type. Those still can be converted, theres a writeup on PGMFI, but it's pretty involved and your better off just finding a 90-91 PM6 with the 28 pin external ROM.

Which socket exactly are you basing it off of?<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Trance minister &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Your correct sir. Yes, that's the one you can chip.

I'll chip it for you if you want. My company has been doing it for a while now.

heres a closer look, i count 28 on the one thats farthest to the right and 2nd one up from the bottom, is that right? has 14 on each side. so does that mean it is the chippable one?
