Default cleaning up my engine bay

hey does my 91 crx si need that little charcoal canister? I have been tryin to get more space in my engine bay and I was wondering if I just took it out if there would be any problems because I know honda put it on there for a reason( smog related is my guess) but would I just pretty much pullit off and cap the vacuum lines and then just let what would normally go in there vent out in the engine bay. Sorry if this is a dumb question I just don't knwo a lot about that little black canistor thanx

Plug up the hole on the manifold..And put the main line under the car to the ground just in case fuel vapors come out..

Its illegal to remove in NJ..Dont know about WA.....

No affect to your performance, took mine out this weekend and I have yet to explode do to a "buildup of gas vapors in the engine bay".
